Jessica Bird, Executive Director
Jessica was born in Ohio and transplanted to Indiana in late 90’s. A 2004 graduate of Prairie Heights High School. She lives in rural the Pleasant Lake area with her husband, Branden and five children: Aiden, Lyndsey, Ethan, John, and Owen. In addition to her children, Jessica shares her home with her two dogs named Gracie and Zeus.
She has been on the Board of Directors for the Steuben County United Way for number of years. She began her love of the Steuben County United Way by volunteering in the Cardboard Regatta event and later transitioned to chairing and co-chairing the annual Days of Caring Event. She assists annually with Power of the Purse event, as well. Jessica is dedicated to her community, to her family, and to her friends.
When she is not spending time volunteering for the United Way, Young Professionals Network of Steuben County, or Angola Balloons Aloft; she enjoys attending her children’s baseball and softball games where you can hear her cheering from the stands. Lastly, she assists her oldest son in local activities pertaining to the Angola chapter of FFA.
Her goal is to provide a safe and cultivating environment for not only her children, but all local youth so that they will go on to be successful leaders and future volunteers.
